I can say in all certainty that the box of candy I
received from Oliver Kita contains the prettiest candy I’ve ever seen. If you don’t believe me, one of my readers will see for themselves when they WIN the same 16 piece sample box that I received.
Having a passion for cooking and baking with the perfumes and flavors of chocolate, flowers, herbs, citrus, exotic fruits, berries, nuts, and spices over the last 20 years, Chef Oliver Kita turned his time and focus to studying and training with the top master chocolatiers on two continents. The result is the Oliver Kita line of artisan fine chocolates of a remarkable quality using superlative French organic and Swiss sources complemented by traditional French methods and the finest ingredients. Heavy satin cream, award-winning sweet butter, the finest fruits, low sugar, and carefully selected and roasted nuts are all in an artfully hand-crafted design by Kita.
Now if you’ve been reading JustFindIt4U for any time at all, you know that I’m a chocoholic. There isn’t too much out there that still makes me say “WOW”. Some of these candies made me say “WOW”! The first thing you notice though is how pretty they are. Almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Do you see the candy on the bottom left of the picture? It’s a PISTACHE CARRÉ: Pistachio Almond Marzipan- made from scratch with fancy pistachios, whole almonds and pure cane sugar. In my humble opinion, it’s the single best piece of candy I’ve ever tried. Hands down.
Kita said he is using organic chocolate as well as fair trade chocolate. “I believe it’s important for the patrons of my shop and anyone who purchases chocolate to align their spending choices with universal and personal values. A percentage of their purchase is used to support 1% for the Planet.
The other piece that blew me away was the one in the middle left of the picture. LAVANDRE CITRONADE- Lavender with Lime- creamy citrus taste with light floral lavender aroma. Now that’s not to say that the other pieces weren’t very good, they were. But these two stood out as the best of the best.
The artist describes the sample box this way: “The studio collection was created to fulfill requests for a 16 piece bon bon tour of my most popular and jewel-like creations. I would describe it as tour of flavors blended together that usually would clash, but somehow don’t. Hey, maybe they’ll make that their new slogan.
Click on the picture to see a description of each piece. Don’t read if you’re hungry.

I love the idea of a gourmet chocolate using fairtrade items, offering vegan delights, and giving back to charity all at the same time. I have tasted Swiss chocolate before and it is sinful compared to what we get in America. I’ve never tried French chocolate but I bet it’s just as good. I would love to try these. Kita, from what I read on their site, sounds like a high quality product without the extreme pricing. Their prices are very reasonable for gourmet.
