I (knocking on wood!) have never had a cell phone mishap…but I’m sure some day it will happen, especially with my luck!
My phone was baptized in coffee one morning, and it was ruined. No amount of rice in a bag, sun in the dash of the car, or prayer would fix it.
My blackberry malfunctions when I even get a single drop of water on it and I have to let it sit in rice for a whole day… super frustrating.
I actually haven’t had a mishap. I don’t use a cell phone that much.

Yes, when I was relaxing in the hot tub…and talking to my boyfriend…to my horror…it slipped and fell into the water with soap suds…and it was an iphone

i dropped my iphone screen down from at least a couple feet onto the pavement. my screen shattered and lost some pieces.
our straight talk phone had a white screen on it the one day. we could receive calls and texts and we could call out to people but we could not read the text messages or see who was calling.. or go into any of our settings like pictures and stuff.. contacted straight talk.. they sent a box for us to send back the phone to them.. did that.. they sent us a replacement phone.. well the replacement phone is defective.. when somebody calls us we have to plug a headset into the phone in order to talk. we can receive texts and send texts and place calls but can not talk without the darn headset.. straight talk sent us another box so that we could send the phone back again to get another replacement.. ugh.. too much trouble to do so..
i have dropped mine in water, cracked the screen before and gotten sand in it. I’m not easy on phones
i once dropped my phone in the toilet, not much could be done with that one
My sister took my phone and dropped it directly into a cup of water since then i havent had any service on my phone.
We have had lots of mobile mishaps from phones being ran over, dropped off a roof “my husband works in construction” to phones being dropped in toilets and dropped getting broken screens. No fun!
so far, I’ve had good luck with phones, but am quite nervous about the iPod Touch 4 that’s coming in the mail this week.
Actually I haven’t…yet.
Except for dropping my phone into a stream while I was working as an EMT and we were working a car accident (car was 1/2) in the stream, can’t say anything too eventful has happened with my cell phone. BTW – it did work again after giving it a day to dry out!

I was using my cell ophone when I was getting a pedicure and plop it fell in to the water.Aurg! Way to take a relaxing moment and kill it!~
No big mishap but I did have the ball fall out so I was unable to navigate around till I found a popped back in.
My ongoing mishap tends to be that I randomly leave my phone behind – some mornings on my bed, I’ve left it in my office. I need a reminder beep on it attached to my brain.
The worst phone mishap I had was dropping my cell phone in the toilet on a Greyhound Bus!!! And no, I did not put my hands in there to get it!!! Grossed me out!!

Dropped in toilet
I dropped my phone in a puddle. I took it apart to let it dry. The sound has never been quite right after that
left it behind in a grocery store once
one time I got mad at my mom and chucked my phone at the door…..it broke. Then i left it out in the snow and recently I dropped it in the toilet and it survived
I have never had a mishap with my phone, but I carry the insurance just in case!
