I ♥ to eat. If you have read What’s Cookin?, you know that. What you probably don’t know is that I have been known to buy a cheap imitation of a burrito (you know the kind I mean). More for convenience and cost than for taste. What I had never tried before was an All Natural really good to eat frozen burrito.
I received a coupon good for a FREE Red’s All Natural Burrito for this Review, and 5 of my readers will win coupons for FREE burritos too!

I chose the Steak burrito for my first Red’s experience. I decided to microwave it, since that is how I used to prepare the cheap imitation burritos. Out of the wrapper, I was impressed with the size. Wow, that is a big burrito! I followed the directions, then dropped it in a pan
with a tablespoon of melted butter. I fried the burrito for a couple of minutes on each side, until toasted. I had planned on serving the burrito with a salad and a bowl of guacamole. Once I saw the size, I decided that this was going to be à la carte (fancy talk for by itself). Before I write about the taste, let Red tell you what is in their Steak burrito:
Ingredients: Flour tortilla (Wheat flour, water, canola oil, salt, baking powder), Brown Rice, Black Beans, Beef raised without antibiotics, Sour Cream (cultured pasteurized light cream, nonfat milk, and enzyme), Corn, Tomato Puree (tomato concentrate [water, tomato paste], citric acid), Green Bell Pepper, Red Onions, Red Bell Pepper, Chili Pepper Powder, Cumin, Salt, Modified Food Starch (corn), Cocoa (processed with alkali), Garlic Powder, Cayenne Pepper, White Pepper, Thyme, Allspice. CONTAINS: MILK, SOY, WHEAT.
All Natural is important; but for me, taste comes first. The smell of the burrito coming out of the microwave was amazing. Eating it straight from the microwave is definitely an option if you don’t want to go the extra step to toast it. According to the Burrito Baron, you can grill, microwave, bake and even put one on a Panini press.
By the time I had browned it, and sliced it open, I had already forgotten about the salad and guacamole. Look at how those natural ingredients are oozing out of the crispy tortilla. The beans and veggies were still firm, not mushy like I expected. The spice was fantastic, I didn’t add any hot sauce like I normally would. I was very impressed with my Steak burrito, now I have to decide which one to try next!
